The new Dunlop Saloon Car Cup organised by the Historic Sports Car Club has received positive feedback from racers gearing up for the 2019 season.

More than 30 drivers have expressed an interest in the series with prospective entries ranging from Group A Ford Sierra RS500s and BMW M3s to Super Touring S2000 and Group 1 cars.

HSCC CEO Andy Dee-Crowne said: “The response since we made the announcement two weeks ago has been hugely encouraging and there is plenty of time for drivers with suitable cars to come and join us.

“We’ve got a superb calendar for the Dunlop Saloon Car Cup taking in the best four tracks in Britain.”

The eight race series for cars built between 1970 and 2006 will feature race weekends that consist of a 20 minute qualifying session and two 20 minute races with each category having it’s own dedicated post-race celebrations.

June 8/9 Donington Park (Masters Historic Festival)
